Henry Coble, the Patriarch of all the Cobles of Missouri,
Sired seven sons, 3 of which migrated to Missouri.
For reasons unknown, there was no tombstone for our
"Grandfather" of various degrees.
The original objective of this page was to raise funds for
A tombstone at his gravesite
Janice M. Smith, janice45@hiwaay.net and myself,
Jay Gentry, gentree@getgoin.net
Each committed ourselves to a project to raise funds to set a monument.
With the thousands of descendants of Henry Coble, we felt this would
Not be an excessive burden for any of us.
We then signed a contract with a local monument company...
On May 9, 2001, a tombstone was set!

Through this page solicitations were made.
"Old Henry's" descendants enthusiastically responded with
Funds to adequately finance the project.
Following is a list of the.....

I would like to say Thank You to all of you who have helped in this project.
This has been my passion since I first found Henry's grave without a tombstone.
For those of you who
would like to visit Henry's gravesite:
From Everton, Dade County, MO, travel east on US 160
approximately one mile, turn right (south) on CR 223,
8/10 mile to CR 166. Turn right (west) to cemetery...1/2 mile.

Web Owner's note:
This was my first attempt at creating a webpage. Forgive it's simplicity. I am a very Senior Citizen whose intent was to set a stone for Our Ancestor in my lifetime. We attempted other options for raising funds for this stone to no avail. I thought I'd try this...it worked!
